American Legion GA Post 233

The Barrett-Davis-Watson Post 233 is a non-profit veterans’ service organization devoted to helping veterans, their families and the community.

A complete history of GA Post 233 Gratefully Dedicated to Commander Bobby Boss was compiled by SGM Stephen L. Linngren, U.S. Army (Retired).

GA Post 233 of Loganville, GA is committed to serving our entire community. We welcome all eligible veterans to join one of the most active American Legion Posts in the nation. It is our goal to support our veterans and our community. We strongly encourage family members to become active in our American Legion Auxiliary Unit 233 and our Sons of the American Legion. We need your membership and support if the American Legion is to continue to fight for the benefits to which all veterans and their families are entitled.

Our Post is one of the most active and influential posts in the Southeast with approximately 1000 members. We support all the programs of The American Legion, including Americanism, Rehabilitation, Boys State, Girls State, Oratorical contest, and Legion Baseball. We also support our Navy Sea Cadets, Partners in Education, Air Force ROTC and various community services.

If you would like to join or transfer to our post, we would be glad to do that for you. Our dues are $30.00 per year. We meet the first Tuesday of each month. We have fellowship from 6:30p.m. to 7:00p.m. At 7:00p.m., the Auxiliary members have a potluck dinner with fried chicken furnished by the post. At 8:00p.m. we have our meeting.
